Submitting a Debt Retirement Charge Self Declaration Form

Provided that a bulk bill multi-residential building meets the eligibility criteria, the building owner or operator will need to submit a completed Debt Retirement Charge (DRC) Self Declaration Form to receive the DRC exemption. Submission of the form to the local distribution company (LDC) will require some coordination as one form is required for each building. Enercare is here to help you through this process.

Submission Process

  1. Download the Debt Retirement Charge Exemption Notice Form for your building’s LDC.
  2. Complete the form and submit to Enercare Connections by email or mail.

    a) Email: client.care@enercare.ca
         Subject: DRC Self Declaration Form

    b) Mail: Enercare Connections
         Attention: Client Care – DRC Self Declaration
         4000 Victoria Park Avenue, Toronto, ON M2H 3P4   

    IMPORTANT: While Enercare is helping manage the submission process, we are not authorized to sign the form on your behalf. Enercare requests for completed forms to be provided to us by November 15th to allow adequate time for review and submission to the LDC.
     
  3. Enercare reviews forms and confirms successful completion.

  4. Enercare submits forms to the LDC and tracks progress.

  5. LDC approves the submission and calculates the DRC exemption. The exemption will become effective January 1, 2016, or following receipt, whichever is later.
