Upgrading your commercial AC
Signs it’s time to upgrade your commercial cooling technology
An unreliable AC is bad for business. Beat the costly repairs, uncomfortable environments and higher energy bills with an upgrade. A new AC is better for your building, the environment and your bottom line.
- Better refrigerant
Most older ACs contain an ozone-depleting refrigerant. Today’s systems are more environmentally-friendly and reduce your system’s risk of overheating.1 - Better fans
Today’s units have variable speed technology so units run at lower speeds on cooler days to use less energy and generate less noise. - Better ductless
Solutions such as ductless mini-splits are great options for cooling spaces without installing expensive ductwork.
- Better energy efficiency
compressors Systems 10-15 years old have a maximum cooling efficiency rating of 9 or 10. Today’s systems range from 13 to 25+.2 - Better compressors
Newer systems can run on lower capacity when full power isn’t needed to save energy and reduce noise.
Upgrading is good for the environment
Most AC units older than 10 years use R22 which is a harmful ozone-depleting refrigerant. Since 2020, R22 has been banned in Canada. If your system still uses this refrigerant and breaks down, it can no longer be repaired. Avoid a future emergency with a new AC system today.
