Empowering the Future of Young Women in the Trades

Discover Your Strength. Build Your Future.

At Enercare, we’re helping young women across Ontario step boldly into the skilled trades. The Enercare Young Women in Trades Bootcamps give high school students a full day of hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work — guided by Enercare Experts who want to see them succeed.

This is where confidence grows, curiosity leads, and new career paths open.

Why the Young Women in Trades Bootcamps matter

The skilled trades need more voices, more perspectives, and more women leading the way. This program breaks down barriers and shows students that the trades aren’t just accessible — they’re full of opportunity.

Students gain practical, real-world skills including:

  • HVAC: Using measuring and fabrication tools to work with natural gas and propane piping and tubing systems.
  • Electrical: Wiring an outlet box and light fixture to safely turn a light bulb on.
  • Plumbing: Building a toilet, installing a faucet, attaching water lines, and assembling drainage fittings on a bathroom vanity.
  • Leadership & Skills Development: Strengthening problem‑solving and teamwork along the way.

But the biggest takeaway isn’t the tasks — it’s the confidence to envision a future in the trades.

Built for students. Powered by mentorship.

Students learn directly from Enercare Experts who were once in their shoes. They ask questions, make mistakes, try again — and discover what they’re capable of.

This is where careers begin: with encouragement, representation, and real-world experience.
