With the ability to give passcodes to anyone you want, you no longer need to leave keys outside, give keys to friends or figure out how to get keys back. 

Creating user passcodes

  1. Log into the Enercare Smarter Home Portal.
  2. Click “Users” on the left-hand side of the page.
  3. Click “Add Users” which appears at the top right of the page.
  4. Fill in the form details and apply to one or more of your door locks – including the passcode you would like the user to have to lock and unlock the door(s).
  5. You can set up a schedule if you want the user to only have the ability to lock/unlock the door(s) on certain days and times.
  6. Click “Save“.
  7. Once you have completed the process, it will take a few moments for the system to update – you may see “Pending” beside the user in the user page.

Change passcode for an existing user

  1. Log into the Enercare Smarter Home Portal
  2. Click “Users” on the left-hand side of the page.
  3. Click the passcode asterisks for the user in the centre of the page.
  4. Update the user code in the pop-up page.
  5. Click “Save“.
  6. Once you have completed the process, it will take a few moments for the system to update – you may see “Pending” beside the user in the user page.

Edit existing users details

  1. Log into the Enercare Smarter Home Portal.
  2. Click “Users” on the left-hand side of the page.
  3. From the users page, click the pencil icon to the right of the user you would like to make changes to.
  4. In the user’s page, edit as required.
  5. Click “Save“.
  6. Once you have completed the process, it will take a few moments for the system to update – you may see “Pending” beside the user in the user page.
     

Creating temporary passwords for house guests, contractors, etc

  1. Log into the Enercare Smarter Home Portal
  2. Click “Users” on the left-hand side of the page.
  3. Click “Actions” on the right side of the page.
  4. Select “Add Temporary User”.
  5. Select the lock.
  6. Select the password.
  7. Select “Starting” and “Ending” time.

Please note: The password will automatically expire so you don’t have to worry about deactivating it afterwards.
 

Changing the batteries

Remove the cover off the lock panel on the inside of the door.  Pull out the battery pack and load the four new AA batteries following the polarity marks shown.  Put the battery pack back into the lock panel and put the cover back on.
