How do tankless water heaters work?
Tankless water heaters don’t store water like tank-style heaters do. Instead, they heat the water when you open the tap and stop heating it when you turn it off again. This gives you unlimited hot water while using less energy at the same time.
While the amount of hot water is unlimited, because tankless systems have a fixed flow rate of up to 11.0 gallons (42 litres) per minute, running multiple faucets, showers or appliances at the same time can lower the overall water pressure.1
