If your Smarter Home Water Leak Sensor senses a leak, you can quickly and easily go to your Enercare Smarter Home app and turn off the main water shut-off or set up a rule so it closes on its own.
To close or open the shut-off valve using the app (desktop or mobile).
- Log into the Enercare Smarter Home Portal app.
- From the home screen find the card called “Water Main Valve”. You can turn on or off the water valve by either clicking on the water icon or by clicking on the right arrow which leads to a new screen.
- Click on the valve image and click “Close” to close the valve or click “Open” to open the valve.
Setting up a rule to close the Smarter Home Water Valve Shut-off when the Smarter Home Water Leak Sensor senses water.
- Log into the Enercare Smarter Home Portal app.
- From the home screen find the card called “Water Main Valve”.
- Select “Rules” at the top of the page.
- Select “+ Add New Rule”.
- Enter the rule’s name.
- Choose “Water Valves” under “Automate My“
- Choose the sensor in the list under “When this event occurs:” that you would like to trigger the valve closing if it senses water.
- Choose the action, device and time frames you would like.
- Press “Save” to save the rule.
