The Consumers’ Waterheater Income Fund and the Consumers’ Waterheater Operating Trust Announce Credit Ratings on Proposed Offering of $310 Million Senior Notes

The Consumers' Waterheater Income Fund (the "Fund") (TSX:CWI.UN) and The Consumers' Waterheater Operating Trust (the "Trust") announced that DBRS Limited ("DBRS") and Standard & Poor's Rating Services have assigned a provisional "A" rating and an "A" rating respectively, to the Trust's proposed $310 million series 2008-1 Senior Notes. The provisional "A" rating from DBRS will be finalized upon a satisfactory review of final documentation related to the proposed offering. The ratings are in connection with a proposed debt offering of $310 million of Senior Notes by the Trust in each of the Provinces of Canada. The Senior Notes are being offered through a syndicate of underwriters led by TD Securities Inc. and which includes RBC Dominion Securities Inc. and Scotia Capital Inc. The terms of the Senior Notes will be determined by negotiation with the underwriters. The preliminary prospectus supplement contains important information relating to the Senior Notes.
