TORONTO, Dec. 18, 2018 /CNW/ -Enercare Inc. ("Enercare") is proud to team up with one of North America’s largest homebuilders, Empire Communities ("Empire"), to become their official smart home provider and installer. Enercare Smarter Home technology will be installed in over 1,300 new homes being constructed by Empire in the next two years. Each of these homes will be equipped with the Enercare Smarter Home essentials package, which includes a comprehensive suite of smart home products that give homeowners remote access to home comfort and peace of mind, wherever they are.

While many other smart home offerings in the market simply notify homeowners of issues, Enercare Smarter Home is"Smarter"because it provides customers with a suite of automated solutions within Enercare’s mobile app, as well as access to over 700 licensed technicians, making it easy for homeowners to ensure their new home’s HVAC equipment, water heater and thermostat are running efficiently.

Each home equipped with Enercare Smarter Home will include:

ENERCARE SMARTER HOME HUB
The core of the Enercare Smarter Home network. The Enercare Smarter Home Hub is what collects and analyzes the data from all your home devices, making sense of the information and then sending it out to Enercare’s mobile app. No need to download multiple apps for all your home’s connected devices. No need to try and interpret trends or graphs on your own. The Enercare Smarter Home Hub does the work so you don’t have to. Included in your Enercare Smarter Home essentials package, it’s the cornerstone of Enercare Smarter Home.

ENERCARE SMARTER HOME THERMOSTAT
Control the heating and cooling of your home, even when you’re not around. In addition to the easy-to-set thermostat in your home, you can also set your home’s temperature remotely with the web browser dashboard or within the mobile app. Turn down the heat when you’re not around to save energy and money, or start warming up the house when you’re on your way home from work.

HVAC PERFORMANCE MONITORING
HVAC performance monitoring uses short and long-term patterns in your HVAC equipment and interprets the information, alerting you if there is an issue for instance, a decline in the efficiency of your equipment which may indicate that maintenance is required; allowing you to resolve a potential issue before it becomes a problem.

ENERCARE SMARTER HOME WATER LEAK SENSOR
Know about water leaks before they have a chance to do significant damage. Water leak sensors can be placed under a sink, near your water heater and around the dishwasher or washing machine, to alert you on the mobile app if there’s a leak in the area. One leak sensor is included in the Enercare Smarter Home essentials package.

As an added benefit, for each new Empire home equipped with Enercare Smarter Home, the essentials package will also include a free Google Home Mini, allowing homeowners to control the Enercare Smarter Home system using voice control.

"Having our Enercare Smarter Home technology, installed throughout these new communities will enable us to help ensure these new homeowners have a worry-free and easy experience in their new homes.
