Help your children to think green in 4 easy steps

Kids want to be green too but often don't know how. Help them by utilizing these tips.

1. Set a positive example

Your kids will mimic your actions, so make sure those actions are positive.

2. Encourage them to learn more about conservation

Contact your children's school or your local community centre to find out if there are any conservation programs available. Provincial parks or wildlife conservation areas are also excellent educational resources.

3. Every drop counts

Get your kids to collect rain water in buckets and use that rainwater in the garden.

4. Use recycling day as an opportunity to spur their creativity

Get your kids to think about new ways to use things in the recycling bin, rather than throwing them out.
